Deuteronomy 5
Today we’re writing Deuteronomy 5, and after yesterday’s transcription of Moses’ own words — that he’d be dying soon before arriving at the promised land — I have to say I’m heading into these next chapters with shades of trepidation. I know he’ll die, but for months I’ve copied the Bible, chapter by chapter, following Moses’ life and his story. And now at the culmination, in Israel’s penultimate step, he’s going to die.
I’m sure there’s much to learn from this, but for now, I want to grieve.
